Since embarking on her solo career in 2021, the Utrecht-based artist has forged a distinctive path, blending symphonic metal with alternative and cinematic influences, all anchored by deeply personal storytelling. Her 2024 album The Obsession marked a critical and artistic breakthrough, praised for its emotional depth, sonic diversity, and fearless exploration of themes such as fear and OCD.

Following a tour with VOLA, a successful European festival run in 2025 and a major arena tour in 2026 alongside EPICA and AMARANTHE, Wessels and her band dubbed The Obsession, after the record,  now enter a new chapter – one that promises to push her sound and vision even further.
